Make an exception without inventing another plan

A customer needs a feature for a fortnight before upgrading, extra credits after an outage or an ongoing allowance outside their standard package. Entitler records each one as a grant: extra access on top of their plan, with a reason and an optional end date.

The rules behind a grant

Grants provide additional access independently of a subscription. A grant’s effect depends on the feature: it turns a feature on, adds to an allowance or raises a setting.

More ways to use grants

Provide temporary access with a recorded reason and expiry date.

  • A prospect wants a pilot

A prospective customer needs a month-long pilot with shared folders and additional seats. Grant shared folders and 10 team seats for 30 days, with the pilot recorded as the reason.

  • An extra feature in a customer agreement

A customer has agreed additional access that is outside your standard tiers. Create a grant with the agreement recorded as its reason. Set an expiry if the arrangement is temporary, or revoke it when the terms change.

  • A customer is waiting on a fix

A bug is blocking a customer and the fix is a week away. Grant seven days of priority support and include the ticket reference in the reason.

  • The grant ends and they want more

Lena liked Export to PDF and wants to keep it. After the grant expires, the check answers the eligible plans and add-ons that include the feature, Pro basic in this example.
