Top up a prepaid plan before more data is used

More situations your team can handle

  • A broadband tier changes speed

A plan upgrade permits a different configured download speed. Your network reads the updated speed feature value and applies its provisioning policy.

  • Roaming is available only on selected plans

An add-on must appear only for compatible base plans. Define compatible add-ons and upgrade paths in the catalogue so your portal offers eligible service changes.

  • A customer needs a data pack mid-month

Alex needs another 10 GB before renewal, without losing the usage already recorded. Add a compatible data pack to the current allowance. Extra add-on units added part-way through a period do not bank at that renewal.

  • An outage calls for bonus data

Support provides temporary replacement data after disrupted service. Grant extra metered allowance with a reason. Grants add to the current allowance but do not carry into the data bank.

  • An earlier offer includes a larger bank

Existing subscribers joined a package with more generous banking terms. Preserve their plan version when releasing a new package, or choose the cohorts and timing for a move.

Questions about telecommunications

No. A speed tier is a configurable value your network applies. Data volume can be a separate prepaid, postpaid or banked meter.
